I watched crazy stupid love last night and got all amped up for my trip to the red hat amphitheater in Raleigh to see john legend. Did you notice my play on words there? I sometimes find myself amusing. Ryan and John are both small in stature but good gracious are they talented and sexy. I say these things ONLY because I know my husband won't be reading my posts. He knows my celeb crushes but it still hurts his ego a little ;)
"This just might hurt a little
love hurts sometimes when you do it right
don't be afraid of a little bit of pain
pleasure is on the other side.
Let down your guard just a little
I'll keep you safe in these arms of mine
hold on to me pretty baby
you will see I can be all you need if you stay
won't you save, save"
Enough said. I for one was a non-touchy and checked out lover for a long time. I did not date until college. And when I did date it was SO stressful. Five years of a dysfunctional stressful relationship that I didn't want to leave. That I wanted to last forever. I always dreamed of my guy that would be adventurous, loving. nurturing, and loyal. Despite those 5 years that left me a bit resentful and bitter I saved a little room from love. There was pleasure on the other side of all of that heartache. My guard is down just a little and I'm holding on to J.T. because he is my rock. Until Next Tune!

4th of july
We had a great day as a family of 3. Although this was our weekend with Kay, her family had a beach trip planned so we missed not having her around. Her stepdad did text us a picture of her decked out in red white and blue though.
Our day got off to a bit of a slow start but we hit up Northeast Park in Gibsonville, NC. It was a 25 min drive and you know who fell asleep on the way there way before his nap time. We had so much fun at the pool/splashpad/playground once we got there. I highly recommend this place for families with toddlers. We had wanted to take in a Hopper's game but they were sold out so our friends asked if we wanted to go to the Winston Salem Dash game instead. We did and had so much fun :) We chased the boys. Troy watched Baby Einstein. Dad's drank beer and we only watched the scoreboard not the actual game. The game was sold out and the lawn was full so we snagged a spot on some extra land they had where there was cornhole and a few food and lemonade vendors. Troy "kind of" enjoyed the fireworks. He didn't nap much the whole day so by the time 9:30 and fireworks rolled around he was pretty tense but relaxed once he was in J.T.'s arms
How fortunate we are for all the choices and freedoms we have in the United States. Happy Independence Day!

music soul child: your body is a wonderland
He may have stirred controversies in his dating life but regardless John Mayer knows how to write songs and sing about women. This song proves it.
"I'll never let your head hit the bead without my hand behind it." Swoon. I graduated HS in 2003 so of course at the point when this song came out in 2002 my hormones were all the rage with me heading to college and all. I'd spend the day listening to this song and daydreaming of whatever guy I was going to "swim in a deep sea of blankets" with. Does anyone else miss HS like me? This song takes me back to High School. Life was so easy. I know why though. I never dated in HS. I had my friends, my family, my youth group, and volleyball. No guys! Aaah! Daydreaming about men is so easy. Living with them in reality is hard but let me tell you it's worth it. Until Next Tune!
