columbia, sc

A couple of weeks ago I went to my twin cousins' graduation in Columbia South Carolina.  After graduation we got the VIP treatment and got to eat at Colonial Life Arena. My cousin is newly engaged and his fiance's dad is in charge of special events at the Arena. When I say VIP I mean no one else was there that day and we had it catered. Was very humbled to be on USC's campus and in their arena with no one but family. The trip was a great chance to see some family and a chance to get out of NC. I love NC but don't get me wrong but I love driving to destinations and getting out on the open road. J.T. had to work and Kay was at her other house so it was a 3 hour trip for Troy and I. We stayed in a hotel with my Grandmother and my Aunt. My sweet grandmother still thinks Troy is a baby and not a toddler and thought she was going to get some snuggle time in with him. Anyone else with a 15mo old can appreciate the humor in her thought :) We had a great time. I'm taking more time to invest in my family this year. They have after all for 28 years invested so much in me and prayed daily for me. I cherish them and may be biased but think they are terribly intelligent, extremely loyal, warm-hearted but of few words, and incredibly hard-workers. They've had much success in life because of this and their enduring faith. I love them and was happy to celebrate and make memories over a great weekend. Here are a few shots from Troy and I's time.

Cheers, LB

Being silly at the hotel. It was a teething and whiny weekend for Troy but he always has energy. Always :)

Kisses

We went to the Columbia Zoo. I was impressed as was the wee one.

Flexin' on us. I wouldn't step to him.

The sheer size of this animal just captivated me. Animals are so intriguing to me.

I loved how open the exhibits were instead of glassed and fenced up like most zoo's. Whatever is best for the animals.

His button eyes melt me.

At the gardens. He would have jumped in had I let him!

My handsome and newly engaged first cousin. He proposed in front of both families over the weekend. Sweet, thoughtful, and fun man.

Thankful he is mine.

My Grandmother and the newly engaged couple.
