pinned week 3

land of the free, because of the brave.

Cheers, LB

Of Note:
  • The baby leggings can be found at Sugarlime Lane
  • I love eagles and this sweater. Such a powerful and beautiful symbol of America.
  • I hope to find a white tank and for Troy to hold his hand still so I can make this memory/shirt.

**Most importantly...it is easy to get caught up in the fashion and fun and booze and pool and food, but let's remember those still fighting, those who have fought, and how FORTUNATE we are to be Free as a Nation.

Godspeed Our Troops.

graduation

After 5 deployments and what seems like 10 years.... My man got that paper! That was slang for his diploma! He graduated from UNC-Greensboro with his Business Degree.  To be completely honest he would have gotten a psychology degree. Since he wants to become an Officer in the Air Force you need a degree in order to do so.  He didn't really care what the degree was just as long as he got one and I couldn't agree more.  Troy wasn't on his best behavior. Seems as always near the important parts they start to meltdown. Had we not arrived 20min early I feel he would've made it. Oh well, I enjoy nursing in front of thousands ;)We celebrated graduating with skydiving and you can see that post here!

LoxaBeauty

Hello!!!!

Sorry I have not wrote to you all in a few days. I had a deadline at work so I was rushing to get it all done on top of taking care of Tornado, I mean Troy. :) LoxaBeauty is a great company and I am happy that I get to work for them! I will catch up tomorrow and also be in a state of sorrow as my little guy has his 15 month check up.

My mommy friends and I met to buy some good goat cheese, blueberries, peaches, and Kay managed to sneak out with some yummy Chocolate Fudge! Simple days. Great memories!

summer solstice

I feel like I was just wishing everyone a happy spring but alas, Happy Summer! It was a hot one here in Greensboro, NC. The high was 90 and for all you west coasters that was on top of our like 90% humidity. Have I mentioned that I can't wait o move WEST! Anyhoo, the four of us had a great time visiting the booths and just enjoying the peaceful serenity that these solstice's bring. Troy rode in his Kelty backpack, ate veggie chips and pointed at all of the doggies. Kay was torn about what to have her face painted as. She went with Queen A-Nu-Ruh. J.T. and I were just happy to be out experiencing all that our city has to offer and showing our kids the meaning of diversity, fun, acceptance, beliefs, talent, and hardwork. Here are some shots. The 10th annual Solstice was held at Lindley Park.

Our green eyed beauty.

My favorite three!

My incredible talented neighbor handmade all these jewelry pieces. Check out her etsy shop Dragonstone Designs

This body art in incredible!

Sprinkling Fairy Dust. I would have hated to be her. Pretending to be a statue in 9 0 degree weather. Ugh!

These two are dreamy. Adore them.

They were sold out of water. So she had Pepsi.

Belly Dancing

Everyone wanted daddy.
